UCLA Transfer decisions out April 19th!

Yeah most definitely I feel it, I will not be surprised if I am rejected for that soul reason. Pretty much banking on CAL. Cal is definitely my first choice, but I would be grateful with CAL OR UCLA just want a top tier UC

Did you notify them that you’re taking it in the summer? I’m sure that as long as you let them know - it will be ok

I’m a psych major too :)

No I did not notify them because I was actually enrolled in Chem this spring semester but I dropped it before the W deadline date. It was too much because I am taking Anatomy also to fulfill Berkeley’s psych prerequisites and astronomy for physical science on IGETC so I wanted to protect my GPA.

What is your top school of choice anaval?

Cal is. But I want to double major in psych and communications and UCLA’s commun department is much better than Cal’s equivalent. I’ll be a little torn if I get into both. That would be a good problem to have.

Ahh ok I see. Are you from Nor Cal or So Cal? If you are from Nor Cal are you going to check out Cal Day tomorrow?

Will the decision come out today?

No, I’m in LA. I’m planning on going to SF the first weekend of May.

Decisions for UCLA and CAL come out on the 26th. Cal has been strait forward from the start with their admission date, while UCLA has been a little more difficult to get a direct answer, but according to this article UCLA’s official admission date will be on the 26th.

[UCLA admits more than 16,000 exceptional students for its fall 2013 freshman class / UCLA Newsroom](UCLA admits more than 16,000 exceptional students for its fall 2013 freshman class | UCLA)

Ohh ok I am from San Jose, an hour away from Cal so I will be attending. I am a little hesitant though because what if I do not get admitted into CAl? Although I feel that I am a strong applicant, you just never know.

So for the URSA thing, are you supposed to be able to see your financial aid summary as a possible indication of acceptance? Because mine doesn’t show up :(

@jmanirquez27 we are in the same college in saratoga fruitvale avenue, aren’t we? I guess I know you with your major.

@fuzzyducky22 when you see the last year thread, some of accepted students even couldn’t see their financial aid status since they didn’t apply there, so it is too early to conclude everything at once.

My only question is if it was close enough to come down to the wire for the 19th, why not commit and state that the day will be NLT the 26th?

Well they already said so in that link that people keep posting on this thread

That is not an official statement by the University. That is speculation, which got us all in this frenzy for the 19th in the first place.

Even then, there have been admission reps telling people it will for sure not be today. Maybe they’re still not giving a for sure date because it might come earlier next week than the 26th or who knows (worst comes to worst) after the 26th!

Which is why I said NLT (No Later Than) the 26th. There were admissions reps telling people it was not going to be on the 19th, mine was one of them.

There still might be a chance it’s after! I know what you know, basically that it’s not today. I think they’re still unsure when they will finish and I think they actually don’t know a specific day and are just shooting for the 26th. Probably in the low chance that they actually have to do it after that, they don’t want to risk committing to a date.

I get what you are saying, I just cant imagine there still being a large number of applicants to review.

Yeah I know, it’s ridiculous that they can’t tell us by this Friday. Probably now it might be just finishing off and choosing the borderline people, and I guess they still need time to finalize everything.
