UCLA Transfer Waitlist 2015

Hmmm, how many times has someone written, “I have a feeling tomorrow’s the day?”
=))

guilty

@dookiemiles Thanks for sharing your story, what is your major? I wonder if any Econ/Biz Econ majors have heard anything…

My friend got accepted this morning off the waitist.

Sociology
In state
3.2 gpa with a lot of work experience

He got an email in the morning to check portal

oh? I guess waitlist positions are really just rolling and there’s no point on waiting for 3 days. even though im trying to stay positive it’s really hard to now…

edit: maybe they release based off of major or random?

Just got in off the waitlist!!

It’s very possible to transfer from another UC!

@ttop220 congrats! what time did u get accepted? was it really at 11am PST?

@trnsfrstdnt no they emailed me at 8 AM! Thanks and good luck to you!

@ttop220 congrats!!!

@ttop220 Congrats!

@fncrane @Shugahs Thanks so much!! Good luck to all of you!

Remember you guys, it always has to do with room in the major. You were all deserving as you were added to the Waitlist. Don’t take it personally no matter what the outcome. It truly is luck of the draw.

Thanks @lindyk8, I needed that! I got into two of the best schools in the nation for my major with scholarships, but couldn’t bridge the financial gap, so UCLA was my last hope. Looks like I’m going to my local state school.

@jazzgtr1 that’s tough luck. I hope this works out. Fingers crossed.

congrats and best of luck to the rest of us

Here’s something from Ms Sun about the waitlists this year: http://■■■■■■■■■■■■/home/move-on-2015/

yea ucla’s sign up for orientation started a few days ago also housing guarantee isn’t due until june 15th, and we will still get financial aid. but i agree with her that we all need to move on but it’s easier said than done :frowning:

@ttop220 if you don’t mind my asking, what did you put in the additional info section?

I was talking to someone today outside of the UCs (from an Ivy) and like that link said they said Waitlists are solely for the benefit of the educational institution. Virtually no one gets in, based on the numbers they hold back, and it all has to do with statistic crunching behind the scenes to benefit the campus. The last one to benefit is the student, although they are overwhelmed with anticipation.

I have felt bad seeing the long term suffering in this thread, and hopefully you have other UC options. At this point I think it’s not to your benefit to keep holding out hope.

for those admitted through the waitlist(if you dont mind me asking) do you mind posting a picture of how the acceptance looks?
