Herro everyone. As we all know, decisions are out tomorrow. Some of you may have noticed a lot of talk about certain "tricks" we've learned from past years to serve as indicators as to whether or not it is likely we've been accepted.

I, for one, have been one of the most vocal proponents of such tricks. I just wanted to reiterate that these tricks are very well-supported, but they are not 100%

I know many of you realize that, but I've seen a few members say that they will be very disappointed if they are rejected tomorrow after going through all of this URSA/myUCLA hassle. That is not the point of these tricks! If you're worried that you are going to be distraught over your rejection, particularly after spending time playing around with the various UCLA tricks, then you should have a glass of wine, go to bed, and just check the decision site tomorrow.

I personally have researched 4 years of CC threads to form the hypotheses I have presented. I have confidence that they are LIKELY indicators of acceptance, but I want to be sure that a) everyone is aware that nothing is 100% certain, b) rejection is not the end of the world, and c) we will all survive this transfer season!

I actually have none of the indicators myself. I may not get into UCLA tomorrow, but I've enjoyed learning so much about URSA, and hopefully I've provided some helpful information to those who were interested!

Regardless, there's a hockey game on right now and I've got some pizza waiting for me. We have less than 24 hours to go now, let's all relax!

(while I continue to neurotically analyze URSA and advise people on how to hack into myUCLA, of course ;))

In all seriousness I’m might be looking more forward to hearing about the people who got rejected despite having gained access to some of these “indicators.”

… Which may include myself.

Well, feel free to do the research as well. There are a few of us who have taken the time to sift through thousands of threads to gather this information, and the indicators are rarely contradicted.

They’re fun, they allow us to distract ourselves, for some of us, they satiate our neuroses. If you don’t like 'em, don’t do 'em. No need to be malicious ;)

@justine
I love your post!! Thanks for your help :)

justine on top of the cue ball…

Great post Justine, but for the record, the Stanley Cup playoffs are only adding to my anxiety!

Justine, I truly appreciate your comments. Thank you so much. You made this whole process so much easier. Thank you and good luck!

@Tre I’m pretty sure each step such as seeing your major on myUCLA, seeing your financial aid summary, and being able to apply for housing are all 1 by 1 steps that prepare you for the big day tomorrow. They probably can’t upload all of that in 1 day so they take weeks to upload all of that. I doubt they’re wasting their time putting your financial aid award to somehow ‘■■■■■’ us.

you’re welcome, everyone! thanks a lot for everyone’s participation and insight!

@colors, are you for Sharks or Blues?

Between the two, the Sharks, but I’m a Canucks fan and they’re down 3-1 games against the Kings.

thanks Justine
i hope we will all meet at UCLA this fall…lol

me too! I’ll see you all in the student store getting our Bruins shirts ;)

I want a triton shirt :(

Good luck good luck goooood luuuccckkkk

Just finished two 3-hour-long labs…today is way too long…
I’ll be playing video games until the official decision is released:)…

OUCH, that is rough, chaotic. what games are you playing?

and@chemnerd, was UCSD your first choice?

@justine YESS! just cause I live super close to it and most of my friends go there already!!
but UCLA is second choice
plus i think SD is MUCH more GORGEOUS :D

SD is definitely beautiful. you’ve got Coronado, and Old Town, and Mexico. I make a point of visiting at least a couple times a year.

@justine
the best place is La Jolla although I’m poor I can window shop!

guyz , what’s URSA? i know that it may be a stupid question for u guyz. but im an international student so plz understand it.
