UCLA units question

Hi,

I'm a newly admitted transfer student to UCLA. I just logged in to URSA, and I saw this information under "Academic" >>> "View Registration Status"

Registration Status - Fall 2007

Classification: SENIOR (135- OR MORE COMPLETED UNITS)

Does anybody get a same info? I'm supposed to be Junior transfer from California Community College. BTW, I will finish 96 semester units by this Spring semester in which only 82 units are UC transferable.

usually its semester units x 1.5=quarter units (i think). you prolly got more than 82 units transferred in (i would call jst in case)

I just called in. The lady told me that all of my units are transferred in WHICH is WRONG. SHe didn't know what to do either and told me to email. OMG Will it affect my admidssion?

No, it won't affect your admission.

it is a mistake though since transfers are capped at 105 units. Most transfers will reach senior status after ~ 2 quarters.

It's probably a mistake. I have like >100 semester UC units, and I'm still a junior according to them.

Too bad...All of my friends got junior standing :(......I don't know what to do now..Just hope that they will fix that later.

As far as I know junior or senior doesn't matter they're just terms that the schools have to put on our admission files. UCI accepted me as senior since I have >100 transferable semester units. I guess if they see you have finished a lot of units they just call it senior but you will have to finish all the required classes for your degree in the new school anyway, same as junior transfers.
And you absolutely have no need to worry about your admission. My friends and me who got senior standing didn't do anything about it.
