UCLA versus UC Berkeley in terms of International Development Studies

Hi all!

I’m a second year undergraduate at UCLA double majoring in pre-international development studies and music performance. I was accepted into UC Berkeley as a transfer under the college of letters and science, and I’m not sure if I should take the opportunity.

My goal is to study international law, so the prestige of Berkeley would help. But UCLA has a better music program, although the music performance degree is just for my personal enjoyment (and a backup I guess).

I love the so-cal weather and all of my friends are here, and I’m honestly a bit afraid to venture to a new school and start from scratch.

I need advice on which school’s Development Studies program is better, and whether I should major in that at Berkeley or do something like Communications or Peace and Conflict. It’d also be nice to have input on whether or not I should transfer.

Thanks!!

Your precevied “prestige of UCB” in comparison … is rather ridiculous to me, for which you want to forgo all other “real” (“Real” vs. “Precevied”!) adventages you see in being in LA!
