Georgia Tech seems to have a narrow edge over CMU.
But do you think I should pick CMU just because of the brand? (Remember I am in EE and not CS.Does CMU have a good brand name as far as EE is concerned?)</p>
<p>While most rankings put GT in or near the top 5, CMU is in the top 10. They both have great names, make your pick on other issues.</p>
<p>So what did OP pick?</p>
<p>For what reason(s) did he eventually own?</p>
<p>I choose Gatech because of</p>
<p>1.More variety in courses .
2.Better research (esp in communication)
3.Possibility of aid ( CMU does not fund its master students,Gatech does )
4.Chance of doing a thesis (not there in the course only CMU degree)
5.Lesser fees.</p>
<p>What are your views?</p>
