It’s really difficult decision to choose between UCLA and Harvey Mudd college class of 2022
They are both great choices…I would suggest you think about your preferences and visit both campuses again to get a feel of what life is like at both. Go to the Admitted Days…spend the night, go to class, meet some people…
Are both affordable to you? Can you imagine yourself at either a large university or a small LAC? Does one environment sound more appealing to you?
Perhaps if you have specific questions or concerns you could post them here so others here can help you.
I’m in the same situation right now!
You should attend admitted students days at both. They are very different schools. Also cost of attendance probably is different as well.
1). If money is not a factor choose the school that just feels right. Go with your gut.
2). If money is an issue choose UCLA.
these schools could not be any different:
— one’s a large public university
— one’s a small college that is part of a consortium
— one’s got a little bit of everything
— one’s focused heavily/solely on STEM
— one’s located in the heart of los angeles/brentwood
— one’s a forty-five-minute drive away from both of those locations
— one’s known to be a rah-rah type of school and has D-I sports
— one’s known to not really care and has D-III sports
i think going to the admit weekends (if feasible) for both is your best option.
@DentalDad - depending on OP’s financial situation, Mudd could actually be cheaper since they meet full need. (Though I do concede, your statement is probably correct. )
