The price of going to these two schools will be about the same for me. I know a ton of friends going to Michigan and have been on the campus numerous times, but i recently visited UCLA and fell in love. The only thing I’m worried about is that I’m from the midwest and don’t know a single person at UCLA. Academics are extremely important to me and I was wondering which of these two schools would give me a better chance of getting into medical school. Is one’s pre-med course substantially harder than the others?
Thanks in Advance!
I doubt you got in for “pre-med.” Pre-med is just a set of courses required for med school, i dont think its a program or major. I got into UCLA for biology and I already did an SIR for them. I didnt see any “pre-med” options. Plus medical schools dont care what university you went to as long as you took the prereqs, got good grades, and got a high MCAT score. UCLA has a good science and biology program. Its weird you just say Michigan, like every one knows what university that is. Is there only one university in Michigan? I dont really know anyone at UCLA yet. Well from my CC, I know a lot of people that got accepted and plan on going but honestly, making new friends is part of the experience. Im actually really looking forward to it. Are you going to UCLA Bruin Day on May 9th? You might be able to make some friends then - Im looking forward to that too.
When you say “Michigan” in reference to a college it’s pretty widely accepted that you mean the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
