I am an international student that got accepted to NU with $15000 per year at the honors program and also to UCLA but with no scholarship/financial aid. NU major= biomedical Physics, UCLA major= Neuroscience. I don't know which uni to choose considering I want to go to med school after I finish college so I believe money is quite a problem( my parents told me they will make a loan so that I can attend UCLA, but if I choose NU, they won't actually need to make on) Which uni should I choose?

they’re both really good schools but I would personally go NU because you’ll have less debt, and you have the opportunity to do co-ops, which will look really good on your med school application (and you’ll make some money too)
best of luck deciding! :D

*make one … This keyboard :|… @lunaaa I was thinking the same…

Actually the answer is probably none of the above and that you should pursue medicine in your home country as it is very difficult for an international student to be accepted into a US medical school without being able to self fund his/her medical education to the tune of $200-$300 K. Few US medical schools offer much funding for international students and they are all generally private. Harvard and Yale are two that do offer international students aid and there are probably not many more
If however I were to stick to your original question, I would pick UCLA for several reasons. First UCLA has a significantly better academic reputation in comparison to Northeastern although Northeastern is certainly a good University. You are going to have to excel any way you can. Secondly UCLA has a world class medical school on campus which gives you research opportunities you are going to need. Third, UCLA’s medical school has full scholarships that cover tuition and living costs for about 20% of each class that are open to international students. Your shot at UCLA Medical school will be slightly better coming from UCLA than Northeastern, all other things being equal.

Any UG that your heart desires is fine for Med. School. Med. Schools does not care. Show them high college GPA=3.6+, decent MCAT score, participate in Medical ECs and you will be all set.
Best wisehs whatever you choose. IMPO, taking loans for the UG is NOT smart, period. However, it is NOT an advice, it is my personal opinion.
Forget reputation of any school, irrelevent in relation to your future application to Med. School. Your personal accomplishments during your UG years at ANY place will count, but not much anything else.

Erm btw I got accepted to the Honors Program at Northeastern, while I am still waiting for a response from UCLA regarding my honors program application. Also, can I complete my SIR at both unis and decide which I am going to attend after I get a response from the Honors program at UCLA?

No- you cannot double deposit. You must choose one school and deposit there. If you double deposit you could be rescinded from both schools. You CAN ask the other schools for an extension on the decision date because you are still waiting on information. Some schools will grant extensions.
