Say both colleges cost the same amount,
and you could see yourself living/be happy at either,

which would you choose for pre-med?
what are pros/cons of each..

btw ive visited both

Oxy because you’ll have less competition against your classmates.
There are a lot of premed students at UCLA, and because of this you’ll be competing for grades. A lot of medical school acceptance has to do with your gpa. I think you’ll have an easier time getting a higher gpa at UCLA. if you weren’t going for being a premed, i’d say ucla for the simple fact that they have more classes to pick from, and more resources. If you’re only doing undergrad(and not going to grad school/med school) UCLA’s network/resources will be beneficial in your future.

anyone else?

liek, you are contradicting yourself in your post…

Occidental College has much smaller class sizes and closer relationships with the professors without giving up much in academic quality…

I’m just a bit torn right now, becAuse at this point, UCLA is 20,000$ a year cheaper, And I have 40 trans. Units from CC , my AP scores too. I’m talking with oxy financial aide right now, and I’m wondering if it’s worth it, I know UCLA will be competati ve. Ucla seems like the logical choice. I’m just making sure I didn’t miss anything at oxy that is worth 20k/year. Lol

UCLA please, it’s a no brainer i promise you-ive got friends at both places and UCLA’s med/premed program is more known.

At 20,000$/year cheaper, yeah its a no brainer,

we’ll see what Oxy’s financial aide dept comes back with as a 2nd offer…

twister, the $20,000/yr, $80,000 for 4 years should be the clincher in this case…

Yes it is. Oxy said they’re going to come back with another refined aide package by the 24th, they’re already giving me 10 a year, to match UCLA they’d have to give me 30 a year, so I’m hypothetically thinking if somehow they came back with a price around ucla what I would do
