UCLA vs. UCD Which school is better in Undergraduate Civil Engineering

Im wondering which school is better to go to. I have visited both colleges, and I like Davis' chill impression and closeness to home (San Francisco), but i also like LA's social life campus (and prestige). UCLA's name is more prestigious but which school's bachelor degree will look more appealing in the work field? I've been reading around and different sources say either school is better. Which school is more better in Civil Engineering? The more research i do the more davis seems to come out on top of UCLA.

Here's some results from a bit of researching.
-"University Rankings: Civil Engineering (2008)"
-"rankings undergrad civil eng from Gourman Report(year unkn)"
-"US News 2009 Undergraduate Engineering Rankings US News 2009 Undergraduate Engineering Rankings"
anyone know a source for the us news 2009 rankings in civil engineering?
-heres a pdf i obtained of "usnews_engineering14th" for best undergradate engineering programs in unknown year.

Thank you.

You should choose which school seems like a better fit for you. However assuming that both schools have similar financial aid packages, I would say that UCLA’s engineering program is stronger than Davis’s.

that’s just the thing I love both campuses equally just for differnt reasons. any other opinions?
