I got accepted into both UCLA and UCSB for psychology. UCLA has the better psychology program but I’m worried that I won’t be able to get the classes I want. At UCSB I’d get priority enrollment so it really wouldn’t be an issue. So, overall which is the best opportunity and is UCLA class registration really as bad as it sounds?
UCLA, probably of all the UCs, has worked very hard to reduce class sizes and to make sure that students graduate timely. Causally regarding the latter, classes are more readily obtained. So no, UCLA isn’t as bad as it sounds.
But if you have priority enrollment, perhaps you’re an athlete or a high-ranking scholar, SB would be a great choice.
