UCLA vs UCSB

I was wondering if anyone would like to give their opinion or any advice.

UCLA Pro.
-Presitge
-Great Poli Sci WITH concentrations
Con
-Wants me to pass all my 6 classes in spring semester with a B

Does yer Undergrad really matter? I mean I can always come back and get my masters from their. After college I owe 4 years to the army for paying my tuition.

UCSB Pro.
-Better ROTC program.
-Beautiful Campus
-Perfect distance away from home.
-Laid back (but I don't want it to the point where classes feel like a waste of time)
Con

-Bro culture and douchbaggy ness (could be a pro cause I'm very social but didn't have the time in CC)

Another question, I'm taking Calc 1 for fun but I have a high D now. Should I drop it or try to get a better grade. Is the risk of my offer being taken away too high?

I need to decide in the next couple of days because ROTC scholarship deadline is on Friday for me.

Thanks so much in advance!!

If you like UCSB more, then go there. Although UCLA is more prestigious, so if you like both schools, go to UCLA. As for Calc 1, is this a community college class? Because if it is, all you need to do is get a C and you can get credit for it in college, and to my understanding that grade of a C doesn’t go on your college transcript, you just get credits for passing the class. So if you can get a C then don’t drop. If you’re positive you can’t then I’d say drop it, although you would have to report that to which ever college you choose and explain why.

since calc 1 isnt a requirement than it probably would be okay just email ucla and tell them u might be gettin a c in that. my sister dropped a psychology class that wasnt important and she told bekerely and they were okay with it.

Just go to UCSB man, you’ll be able to get a better gpa, and have a better shot at getting into a great grad school.

When you have a grad degree, your undergrad degree means little.
