UCLA vs UCSD

I'm graduating high school in June and planning on being a doctor. I was recently accepted to UCSD's Thurgood Marshall campus and UCLA for fall 2012. I've been accepted to the Biology major at both schools.

I'd like some advice choosing between the two, as I can't seem to find any.
I'd like to know which schools are better in terms of

-Workload
-Social life (I read that UCSD has a terrible social scene)
-Which will be better in regards to my major. (I hear UCSD's research is way better, but does that matter?)
-The friendliness of the student body (will people stab me in the back?)
-The campus itself (I've been to UCLA, and I'm going to UCSD's open house or whatever in April)
-Does the ranking matter? UCLA is ranked higher than UCSD, but is that really an important issue?
-housing

Some things about me you may consider:
-My GPA is about 3.9
-My SAT score is 1930
-I don't really have trouble meeting people
-One of my closest friends goes to UCSD, and she promises me that she'll hook me up with people who are good with math and science
- I come from a small private school of about 150 kids total. I work at my own pace, and I'm graduating at 16

I know it's ultimately my decision, but I'd appreciate any advice or tips you can give me.
Thanks a lot!!

They all hard because of your major.

I went to UCSD for undergrad, and UCLA for med school so I think I have a good understanding of both. I personally think that UCSD for undergrad may be a better choice if you are certain about med school.
UCLA is better if you are interested in exploring other career option.

Post #4, that is good to know. My colleague has a son graduated from UCLA with GPA 3.99(or something close) but was not accepted to UCLA medical school. So maybe it’s better to go to UCSD.
