UCLA vs UMICH vs UF pre-med

Not sure if this is the right area to post this, but please try to help anyway!! I plan on majoring in psychology/maybe double majoring in something like cognitive sciences, and then going on to medical school (if I get in).
But that's the issue: which school would give me a chance of getting in? I know there's a possibility I'll decide later on that I have no interest in becoming a doctor, (maybe become a psychologist?) but right now it's my goal. I did some reading online and am now super nervous that I'd do poorly in the classes required for medical school at UCLA or University of Michigan and thus would have to focus on a different career path. I have Florida pre-paid, so I could go to UF for free (though my parents aren't worried at all about being able to pay OOS). But I really want to go OOS.
I plan on studying a lot wherever I wind up, but I'm afraid that studying hard at UCLA or UMICH wouldn't be enough, and that I'll wind up with a GPA too low to get into a good medical school. What should I do?

How you do “poorly” or “great” is strictly up to YOU. You will NOT find “easier” or “easy” time at any UG. not at all, do not coundt on it. It will be rough and tough at any UG. You will observe students in other majors having lots of fun time, including watching TV, etc., while you will have to slave over your academics to get a very high GPA in very challenging classes. So, it is really up to you where you go. It is also entirely up to you how you perform there, including lowest of the lowest ranked, unknown local college, you will not have easy time, not at any place, no other pre-meds at any UG ever have or will have easy times obtaining their high GPAs, my D. did NOT have easy time at her state UG, not at all, not anybody around her in her Honors college that consists primarily of valedictorians mostly from private HSs.
