What’s up guys I also got waitlisted for UCLA as an Economics major for the fall class of 2015, but haven’t accepted the waitlist offer as I am seeing what I should write for the optional section. I plan to include my fall grades which was a 4.0 and my current spring grades.

Transfer GPA: 3.7
Major: Economics
TAP Certified
Part of: Phi THETTA Kappa, Honors Program, Honors Club, and Tap program.

I was admitted to UCSB and UCD but UCLA is my first choice. Any ideas on my chances because I know economics is competitive. If anyone has any news please let me know and I hope we all get in to the schools that we want to go!

They should already have you fall grades, didn’t you sent the TAU (Transfer Academic Update) in January?

Make sure to avoid it being whiny or a sob story. Focus on why you would be an asset to the school, and how UCLA can help you. Make sure to get some feedback on it as well.

Yeah they should but on the waitlist it says it might be good to add. I was basically thinking of writing what I can bring to UCLA as a student and a person.
