Okay so I got into both of these (I didn't apply to Merced pick they picked up my application). Either one I go to, I plan on transferring to a different UC as a junior. I was just wondering if someone could tell me which school would be better for switching into a UC. I know that UCM will probably have more transferrable classes, but wouldn't they give CSU students priority in transferring. I'm not even considering going to a community college because med schools don't accept grades from CCCs. Does anyone know which would be better?

Either one will be fine if you really just want to transfer later. Just keep in mind that it’s not the college that determines your acceptance to med school; it is your grades and MCAT scores.

If you’re wanting to transfer to another UC, go to Merced. The courses will completely transfer over within the UC system, or so I’ve heard.
