My sonā€™s portal still hasnā€™t updated. Heā€™s emailed twice with no response. Anyone else waiting?

I am not sure if anyoneā€™s able to answer this. I appealed for a campus change and they said they would release appeal decisions after May 1. Would uconn extend the enrollment deposit deadline for me if I got into Storrs? Iā€™m not committing unless they accept my appeal so I hope they extend the enrollment deposit deadline for me

Anyoneā€™s special program decision has come out?

Has UConn released nursing school admissions yet?

yep! Still havenā€™t heard back and Iā€™m in-state. All of my friends who applied to UConn received their decisions in the beginning of March. Iā€™ve noticed that very few of my friends were accepted to Storrs with a majority of them being Stamford campus; I wasnā€™t sure if they were releasing the brunt of the regional campus decisions first.

My son was accepted to Stamford in the Storrs Spring Admission Program. One semester commuting to Stamford, then move to Storrs in spring. Heā€™s likely to decline this offer.

personally, I would do the same. I know that itā€™s hard to appeal the regional campus offer and unless uconn is your top choice, I wouldnā€™t want to attend stamford.

admissions were very strange and competitive this year. usually almost all of the applicants from my school are admitted to storrs. Only a few were that I know of so far with a handful of very qualified and competitive applications being deferred to stamford. I think theyā€™re trying to reduce the amount of in-state students this year which is why so many people were rejected/accepted to stamford.

For what itā€™s worth, my godson was accepted on the one-smester Stamford plan and it worked out well for him. He had no trouble integrating into the Storrs student body second semester and now is in his last semester there. If UConn is a top choice, it is worth considering.

Thanks for the info. I think it would have been an option but he wants to experience the west coast - having access to a vibrant city and warmer weather.

I know a ton of people who only got accepted to Stamford, myself included. I wouldnā€™t worry too much, this year basically threw all predictions out the window.

some decisions were released today - I was accepted to stamford campus which was not surprising. hopefully college admissions are a lot better next year for the class of 22.

I think UCONN is trying to fill seats at the regional campus to optimize enrollment and give as many students an opportunity. My son can go to Storrs after one semester at Stamford, but commuting to Stamford (45 min each way) is not that thrilling for my son. He will either ask to go on the Storrs waitlist (which you can do by giving up the Stamford spot) or decline the offer - he is still deciding.

For everyone who is upset about being branched, donā€™t be. I was branched, but accepted into a school with a 25% acceptance rate, and then accepted into their honors program. This year threw everything so far off.
