UConn Admissions Decisions

Emiuth222, that program is the Stamford Branch. I think they are sending specialized majors & honors first!

is anyone having trouble logging in with their netID ? I know my id and pass are correct but it keeps bringing me back to the log in page

make sure you are using firefox and not chrome.

Oh well, I really wanted to get into their honors program, but it sounds like probably not since my status hasn’t changed :/

Have any nursing majors heard back yet!?

I heard that if you completed your app by I think December 1st then you’d get your decision around now. If not, you probably have to wait a little longer. Also, the presidential scholarship information will not be released until around March (previous post i accidentally said May) , I called admissions and asked.

D completed her app by Oct 30, so hopefully will hear soon! Nursing major here.

@cakeisgreat We meet again! It seems like your daughter and I applied to many of the same schools

DS is in-state, he got the word. Accepted to political science.

This is what he saw on his page.

Admission decisions will be sent by mail over the next few weeks. If you have received an acceptance notification by mail, congratulations! We welcome you to secure your place by making your enrollment deposit above. If you have not yet received a decision by mail, we ask for your patience as we work towards finalizing all of our applications. The formal decision notification date is March 1.

To that end he will not be attending, DS has a full ride to another University.

He will drop is acceptance today. I hope by dropping his aceptance it will open the door for someone that is waitlisted.

Good luck to all. My older son is in his 2nd year at UCONN and enjoys it. As parents we also like what we have seen.

Base line stats:
ACT - Comp - 29, M-32, V-30
GPA - 3.9 (unweighted)
Top 15% of his class
NHS
7 Varsity Letters
Captain of one team - Co-captain of another
200+ hrs community and school activities
AP’s and Honors

My son received his acceptance letter to the School of Engineering and the Honors Program on Saturday (2/8). He submitted his application in late December. We are in-state.

Basic stats:
3.93 UW GPA
35 ACT (M-34, V-35, Science-35)
His school (a small private college prep) does not rank students, but his counselor reported to colleges that he is in the top 5% of his class of 51 students

He will likely be turning down his acceptance as he’s more interested in other schools that have already offered him full-tuition scholarships. Another spot open for a waitlisted student.

Congrats everyone on your acceptances!

@3unitsllove–congrats on the full ride and it’s nice of you to inform the U about not attending for someone else. We have done that for two other colleges as well…we want everyone’s dreams to come true :)>-

@kayyx3dee–Hello! Yes we seem to be lurking in the same places. Brilliant minds think alike! It will be fun to see where everyone ends up.

I just want to knowwww

Colin2014 - you sound just like my daughter! I hear this from her everyday, several times a day!

I applied (out of State) for biology major. I received this message a few days ago, like some others.
“Admission decisions will be sent by mail over the next few weeks. If you have received an acceptance notification by mail, congratulations! We welcome you to secure your place by making your enrollment deposit above. If you have not yet received a decision by mail, we ask for your patience as we work towards finalizing all of our applications. The formal decision notification date is March 1.”

I also have the option to pay my deposit. However, I have not gotten my mail or any email confirmation. Does this mean I am accepted or is it simply a part of the process?

I completed my application on October 30th and haven’t heard a peep out of UConn! =D>

@reenski - he was accepted to the storrs campus dmd program.

D Accepted 2/15 pre-Kinesiology major
Decisions are coming! Good luck to everyone!

rella223, did they get into the honors program?

rella223 - did your D receive her acceptance today? online? Today is a federal holiday, so no mail delivery. Also, are you in-state or OOS? Thanks!

My D got her letter on Saturday - accepted, but no merit awards. Which was surprising:
GPA:4.3, SAT:1900, varsity athlete and team captain, Nat’l honor society, all-American, tons of clubs and volunteer jobs. Also accepted to all other schools she applied to, receiving merit awards from all: $9,000-$17,000… all annual. Really disappointed in UConn. Kinesiology, rowing recruit. Will be attending University of Delaware.
