I applied and sent everything before the December 1st deadline, but it said my application was complete December 8th. Am i still considered for EA even though everything was sent out before the deadline via online??

@joe yeah i was accepted already and my status said complete dec 8

Alright kool, means I should find out any day now :D. And Congratz on the acceptance!!

mine said the 8th as well and congrats! my status just changed to “Your application is complete, please allow 4 weeks for a decision to be made.” so hopefully I will get one soon! :D

^^^ Check your status today…that message shows up a few hours before your online status changes…good luck!

@bkc, my account on uconn says “Your application was completed on November 24, 2010. It is important for you to check your application status frequently. Your admission decision will be posted here when it is available.”

Any idea when I will be hearing back from them?

Sincerely, a paranoid senior

@Idb212,

All this means is that your application is complete and they are currently reviewing your application. UConn says they go by ‘rolling admissions’, meaning you could hear back any time. My decision came 6 days after that appeared as my status, but this is probably because I far exceed UConn’s average ACT/gpa. I’m not trying to brag I’m just trying to say that the more qualified you are, the sooner you will hear. They might see your scores/grades and say “Accepted” without reviewing much else.

Basically, if you are really nervous then you should check everyday because they could let you know today or in february, depending how qualified you are and/or when they actually review your application.

Good luck!!!

Has anyone received any acceptances, deferrals or rejections from Uconn during the Christmas break? My D is anxiously awaiting and no one seems to be posting any notifications since before Christmas.

Have not heard a thing :-(

Just got accepted today =D

@ldb212

My status says the same thing! I applied early action to UCONN and still have not heard a thing. Why is it that some people have gotten responses? Im going crazy :/

Thanks for letting us know, Joe…at least we know they are working during the break…maybe sometime soon!!

Only after reading on this site did I check email on the 27th,and my son got accepted via email on Dec 23. We have not received the letter and our mailbox will probably be snowed in for another day, so anxious to get the mail. The email said a decision had been made with two boxes, “I want to know” and “No I don’t want to know”, I guess to give you the option of waiting for the letter. We are out of state.

^^ yea, my status changed yesterday to wait 4 weeks for a decision and I woke up, logged in, and there it was. lol

and @Bonacspud, I liked that touch they put on too to see your decision or not.

Hmm, I applied ED on November 16th and I have what I might call “outstanding credentials” (but who the **** am I to talk after seeing some people’s profiles on this website) and I still haven’t gotten a decision. Goodness darnit

My D got accepted today into the Honors Program as an OOS applicant.
Applied around Nov 1st
She Received notification via web site
Does anybody know if Scholarship Money goes with this?

Scholarship money is not guaranteed with acceptance into the Honors Program. However, if your daughter received a scholarship, the formal acceptance letter will say so.

D just got formal acceptance letter today!
Honors program and 1/2 OOS Merit Scholarship!! Yes!
The other nice thing is that the scholarship adjusts with the cost of tuition.

Congrats to your daughter, kicksave. Would you mind sharing a bit of info about your daughter’s stats? (I understand if you want to keep it private, though.) My d is STILL waiting for any news.

Son got into School of Engineering OOS, no honors college, no scholarship. Since he also got into UMass Amherst Engineering in-state, I think that’s the likely choice between the two. I can’t see paying about twice the price to go to an essentially similar school (I know UConn is ranked overall higher than UMass by US News, but UMass Engineering is ranked higher than UConn Engineering, so it’s more or less a wash in my view). He’s still waiting to hear from some others.
