UConn Early Action

^ Hope you both get in!

i sent all my stuff into uconn before the december first deadline, but they just now posted that they got my stuff on January 5th, does that mean it will not be early action? or does it mean there is almost a decision made?

^ What exactly did it say?

it said along the lines " your application has been completed on January 5th, 2011. Check back frequently for your admissions decision."

Brownie, on that page it should say “EA?” as one of the boxes. If it has a Y, you’re in Early Action. N, inversely, means you’re not.

ok. how long before i should be hearing back?

hello, I am and in-state resident of CT and it is my dream to attend The University of Connecticut, both my parents went, my brothers attend currently, and i’ve grown up around it all my life. I applied very early because I wanted to show my eagerness to the admissions committee (October) but I haven’t heard anything from them still! I am getting very anxious and want to know what is going on! Is it a bad thing that I have not heard yet?? My GPA is about a 3.5/ SAT 1100 math/reading. lots of community service and extra-ciricular activities (student government, and team captain to name a few) Please Help!!

Don’t worry - a lot of us have not heard back. It does not seem to be a reflection of if you will get in or not. Just they way they process the applications.

I still haven’t heard back…little anxious, they’re my #1. I have similar stats, GPA is a 3.89 W and my ACT composite was a 25 and I have a ton of leadership/extra curriculars and sports…ugh! The suspense is too much!

I posted in the other thread but wanted to post here also since I know from experience how agonizing this wait period can be. My D was accepted today…OOS, 3.4gpa(UW), ACT 27 with 3 sports for 4 years and leadership and community service. She is also graduating from a private boarding school. Her application was finalized on 11/19 and she just heard today…Very long wait but she is very excited!!

Congratz on your daughters acceptance mominnh!

Deferred for second review :frowning:
They want my midyear grades…stats above…
Anyone know how long THAT decison takes?

I heard deferred students hear in march.

Is anyone still waiting to hear back for EA??

I am still waiting to hear back…

I have not heard back!!! I applied early October and am soooooo frustrated!!
