UConn Honors Program, Udel, and Maryland

Hi! I am very interested in UConn and will most likely get into the honors program. I was wondering if people could share their experiences/opinions about the honors program and or uconn. I want to become a teacher and I think I’d like to be in a sorority. My concern is that all honors students have to live in the same residence hall, and that people there will not want to go out and have fun. (Sorry for the stereotype). I am somewhere in between shy and outgoing and I want to balance work with fun in school.

-Also wondering about Udel, Maryland, and other school suggestions as well! Thanks!

My daughter and I went on the honors tour at UConn. Turns out she’s a small LAC gal. Anyway, I was very impressed. The honors dorms and cafeteria were much nicer than the others on campus. The program itself seems pretty meaty. The students we met were obviously very bright and engaged but also seemed outgoing and fun. Can you do a Husky for a Day visit? That may give you a better idea.
