I was recently accpted into both uconn and university at Buffalo honors college. My major is going to be biomedical engineering on a pre med track meaning I hope to go to medical school. As far as financials go I received very generous scholarships from both so they are even on that argument.
I’m having a really tough time deciding between the two and I was hoping someone could help by maybe offering their opinions about the schools. Thank you so much!
I can’t speak for UConn though we know it is a great school.
Buffalo is a great engineering school that is known for excelling in that field (and health sciences). Great opportunities there on campus. Engineering job/internship fair on campus each Fall. Engineering clubs, etc… Son was dual mechanical and aerospace eng. majors. Finished in 4 years. 3 job offers. Now taking Emch. Eng Masters online through Georgia Tech (while working).
He and we were very pleased with all Buffalo had to offer. No regrets. Weather was not bad for the 4 years though this and last year have been worse!!
Easy flights from LGA, JFK and Islip.
Very surburban. Nice, polite town (Amherst). Many of the same stores/restaurants as downstate.
Post questions on SUNY Buffalo college thread if you have them.

Good luck to you.
Did you get into the Honors College at both?
I was only accepted to Honor’s college in UB
i’d go with UB then. Honors students tend to get higher grades in their honors classes and that boosts their GPA, which is all-important for med school.
