Uconn pharmacy program?

I’m in state and I’m interested in trying to get Into the uconn pharmacy program. How high of a gpa should I have? Does anyone know the acceptance rate? What can I do to get Into this school, and if not are there any other programs in the ct area for pharmacy?

Not sure what the acceptance rate is, but my neighbor didn’t get accepted to UConn’s Pharmacy program, last year. She was Salutatorian of her class (high GPA) but her SAT wasn’t amazing (not bad but not amazing). Last year, UConn had over 34,000 applicants for 3500 freshmen spots.

My neighbor did get accepted to Purdue. They gave her enough merit and financial aid that the cost for the first year was in line with in-state rates for UConn. She’s been very impressed by the people at Purdue (very nice) and the academics. I know it’s not CT, but I know she’d recommend putting in an application to Purdue.

I hope this helps!

Actually they had 34,000 applicants for 16,000 spots.

Admissions for the pre-pharmacy program are more unique than for typical freshmen admissions. If you’re not accepted you can still apply to UConn’s pharmacy school during senior year or after graduation.
