What do you guys think?

Northeastern I would pay $23,000
Uconn I would pay $17,000

List any pros/cons and tell me what you think is a better school academically, socially, and post school ie jobs, salary, and that kind of stuff.

Its for engineering.

Can not go wrong with either

NEU pros-
- co-op could possibly help pay for tuition
- co-op gives you work experience
- boston
- from what i've heard, NEU has a pretty good engineering program

don't know much about uconn, except that it's in the middle of nowhere.. don't think that will help if you want to intern.

People post all the time that NEU coop could possibly help pay for tuition. The reality is that I don't think it will. Don't forget you will have to pay living expenses whether you live on or off campus during coop unless your family lives in a place where you can find a coop job.
As far as the academics go, they are probably comparable. NEU has the coop program and Boston. Uconn is going to be less expensive for you. Do you want to be in the city? Does the hands on experience sound like something you really want?
UConn is a good school and it is in the middle of nowhere but there is a lot of school spirit there. Don't forget that UConn has had some great basketball and other sports. When school is in session, the campus has plenty to do.
Post undergraduate degree, the coop program probably gives you an advantage as an engineering student. Firms will like the fact that you have that work experience in your field. If you plan to do graduate work, either school is great.

A mentor of mine currently runs a large insurance company which he built from the ground up. He chose UCONN and regrets it; He wishes he had chosen Northeastern and says that today he would choose Northeastern even more. Also, Northeastern has the most AMAZING honors program with huge apartment-style dorms.
