***UCR CLASS OF 2022 APPLICANT/DECISION THREAD***

@AgainstTheOdds my husband’s tabs have also disappeared too.

Tab is still same…

@blueem @Andreq Is it required to stay in UCR dorms for the first year if you’re not local?

@lovepinkk98 Ok so I’m not the only one. Do you know why this is happening?

At this point I’m guessing whoever’s considered still is either waitlisted or denied? Because it seems like all freshman acceptances have past, there hasn’t been new acceptances recently.

All my tabs are still there

@AgainstTheOdds I still have all my tabs.

Is it joke? They can’t play with us like this…

All tabs still there

@thedumbsmartguy232 I have no idea. Whereever my son gets into whether it’s any of them out here in California or if he decides to go to the ones that he’s been admitted to on the East Coast there have never been any thoughts about him not living in the dorms hopefully for all four years whereever he attends but I do know some universities especially those he’s looking at on the East Coast many of them only have guaranteed housing for the first years. I know nothing about the housing requirements for any of the universities because it would never be an issue about it when my son goes in the Fall. Did you read what I wrote in response to the person who was inquiring about it how I choose to not go to UCLA since I did not get housing there so instead I went lived in the dorms and graduated from Cal State Northridge. And I lived 20 minutes from campus.

@Theremitt2018 Wow, talk about being even though you’re a guy Negative Nancy or Debbie Downer. Noone knows anything at this point. Do you know all the thousands and thousands and thousands of applicants personally? Have you heard from each one? I know that my son’s education consultant, one of her other students got their notification that they were admitted yesterday. UCR as I mentioned above is on rolling admissions after March 1. That means the computer just randomly sends out in no order notifications to those who are admitted those who were denied and those who were waitlisted.

I believe at this point everyone who hasn’t been admitted is getting nervous. However, admissions are still rolling. There is nothing to worry about. Personally, I was waitlisted two years ago and I really wanted to attend UCR. I decided that I really wanted to attend UCR and I enrolled at my local community college and did everything to be able to transfer there. At the end of the day, it was the best decision I have ever done in my life. At that time, I was still considered a dependent of my parents for FAFSA and I received absolutely no financial aid help. If I would have been accepted at that point, I would have had to ask for loans. I got married last year and I am now considered independent since me and my husband don’t make much money. I am now able to afford a great education without asking for loans. Overall, my message is to not worry about where you will go to school. Wherever you go, is where you were meant to be and you will be successful.

Also, for those of you wondering if there are people still with the message “Your application is currently being considered for an admission decision”, my husband still has this message. You aren’t the only ones out there

@marcovan To be honest, I don’t know because I only checked my portal after seeing my admissions email (it was unexpectedly early when they notified me, lol)

Ya idk what’s going on. In my case I have a 3.96 UC gpa, 1450 sat, a 800 math2 and 770chem subject test. I thought I would have received my decision already as this was supposedly one of my safety schools but it still says “your application is being considered for admission.” I did apply for cs and maybe it’s just more competitive this year, but I am pretty suprised that it isn’t out yet. I did get into Santa Cruz(cs) and udub (pre-science) so I think I should be able to get in ucr, however since it’s not out for me so I don’t know what to expect. Hopefully more decisions come out soon and we can all relax lol. Good luck guys!

Has anyone gotten Denied from ucr?

@Opthalman657 Yes, they send decisions in a mixture of acceptances/waitlist/ and rejections.

I think @Opthalman657 meant has anyone on this thread been denied. My son was waitlisted from UCSC and denied from UCSB, so he’s not thinking too positively now re his decision he’s still waiting for from UCR. He did get into Merced but that in no way would be a good fit for him so we’re not even going to go look at it .

My D got accepted today for Bioengineering.

@IntApl2018 congrats to her! At least from those who are responding on this thread, she seems to be the only person that received some type of notification today from UCR. And congrats that it was a positive notification!
