UCR or Cal Poly Pomona

I was accepted into both, however at Pomona I was accepted as EOP undeclared and UCR as a computer engineer.
I want to be a computer engineer and I know at Pomona it will be hard to declare that major.
Should I just attend UCR and transfer? Or suck it up and try at Pomona

Pomona is a better choice by most measures. If you are sure you can do well, Pomona would be a better college experience and beneficial for your career by most measures.

Would taking some engineer level classes will help get into the major? What tutoring can EOP offer

It’s hard to transfer into engineering. UCR is a good school: why not go there?

These 2 are by no means the exhaustive list of options. How about choice 3? Rejoice that you were accepted as an engineering major at a UC campus, resolve to work hard and get a good gpa, get an internship along the way, throw yourself into the campus life and activities – at at UCR?

I don’t agree that CPP would be a better choice by most measures. I would not pass up a guaranteed entry into your impacted major.
