Are the foods at uc riverside organic?

most likely not.
theres no point in organic foods, its just a way for people/ markets to rip you off and take advantage of you

^lol. Someone is opinionated.

Haha, food is food. What is your opinion on organice foods trumpet?

To the topic poster, I’m a second year here at UC Riverside.

If you’re asking in regards to the residence hall foods, of whether or not they are organic.

It depends on what you decide to eat. Keep in mind that the residence hall food is a buffet style, all you can eat set up. You can choose the main entree, whereas you can opt out for a vegetarian option which they have at every meal. I can tell you that the juices and the fruits they have are completely organic. How do I know this? Because don’t forget that UCR use to be the CITRUS STATION. We have acre after acre of fruit trees, vineyards, etc. If you drive by the campus, you may see them.

If you’re asking in regards to the venues on campus:

-stuff like panda express they sell on campus: sorry. but thats pretty much not organic

-C store(or convenience store) and sushi stands, where they sell fruits, salads, etc. may be much healthier. You can purchase items there with bear bucks/or dining dollars

If you ask me for an opinion, in regards to healthiest food. I’ll tell you right now that residence hall food, though may not taste like gourmet cuisine that they serve up at google LOL, is most likely a lot healthier than eating off campus, pick and choose.

However, UCR is very abundant in alternate choices for foods, especially off campus.

And if you want to be concious about your budget and how far you can go with a dollar, I advise going down University Ave. for groceries. (i.e. Food 4 Less ^^)

Hope this helps
