How's the food in the dining commons?

I read two older threads about this and students say they get tired of the food quickly and it's not actually a home cooked meal. Can anyone testify to this?

The menus are updated weekly here: Dining Commons Menus

Some specific questions:
1) Has anyone had the sushi, is it good?
2) Are there non-sugary cereals for breakfast like Kashi?
3) Are there any non-dairy milks like soy or almond?
4) Is anything organic?

1) the sushi is not the best sushi in the world. Actually it’s not even good sushi, but it is decent and you can still eat it.
2)There is a large variety of breakfast foods that they have available. Each dining hall has a different variety of cereals that they offer, try them all out and see which one has non-sugary cereal. Portola or Carillo is best for cereal choices.
3) yes there a lot of non-dairy products. The soy milk actually is Silk Milk.
4) Most of the fruits, if not all are actually organic. They get them from local farms.

Wow, thank you so much lex739! I really appreciate the answers to all me questions. Sounds pretty good to me
