UCR Transfer 2017

Lol

just called ucr today, and the lady told me that my application was still under review, and that the ucr portal should be up today at 3 PM

Here I am again, waiting to login to my portal which I’m almost positive will have no news for us transfers. So disappointing

My portal still says unavailable

Same here. I’ll give em a window. I don’t expect UCR making any hard times at this point

I Just called admissions, they said they no longer are able to make the portal available by 3 PM, instead it will be available “early next week.” Not sure if that’s with our without decisions

justUCRthings

We’re all #hurtbae right now and ucr keeps “idk…I wasn’t counting” us.

and it’s still not working not surprised. what if we all decide to not login, and only let one try? maybe it will magically work somehow hahah

I called on Wednesday and they said the portal should be up and running on Monday

even if the portal goes back up I’m not gonna stress myself or waste my time until the last week of march probably lol

It’s unfortunate that UCR has managed to mess up this process so far lol I feel bad for anyone who received conflicting messages! ^^^Definitely not gonna check back until end of March lol

Major: Theatre, Film, and Digital Production
Alt Major: Studio Art
GPA: 3.42
PreReqs: Completed for Studio art, not really for Theatre.
TAG: UCI

I was wondering, if accepted into UCR for the intended major, would it be possible to change it to the alternative major upon admission? I realized the other day that I should have put Studio Art as my intended major because I had finished all my pre-reqs for that major between my school and UCR, my statements explain alot more of me being an art major than a theatre/film major (applied to UCI, UCLA, and UCSD as art majors), and I sent a Studio Art supplement before their deadline as well. For theatre I only completed a couple classes in the RFTV major transfer sheet and I’m also currently taking an acting/directing class from their recommended course list. But everything else, I haven’t taken yet. I checked assist.org as well, but it only specified two courses and I completed those as they were part of IGETC. I’m kinda hoping they consider me for the alternate major instead and I could just minor in Theatre if I decide to go there. But then again, we’ll see what happens once we get responses. I just wanted to know :-/

Welcome to another week of UCR’s wild ride!!!

@kay31don…I’d contact an admissions officer and see what the process is of changing majors or see if there is a sub for UCR on Reddit and post your question. You can always say that their jacked up system put the wrong major down and you really should be a Studio Art Major (I honestly think that’ll work)

I was hoping it would be up rn but apparently not

…and it’s still down

Well guys, UCSB decisions come out in less than 10 days (March 21) haha. I’m counting on those coming out before UCR.

I just called admissions, no word on the portal, my app is still in review… she said “admissions will be rolling out all month.” I wanted to laugh… ridiculous

did anyone hear of someone getting rejected in the first couple of days when the portal was working?

@enpz45 I might just wait until we get responses and then contact an admissions officer. It was more of my mistake that I put down theatre as my intended major because I wanted a pathway that would help me out in my future career, but I realized that I’m more confident as an art major than the other major. Or I could request to double major. :-?? That could be possible, but then the heavy workload though  Can you explain more on reddit because I don’t really go on that site often. Thank you!
