The reject messages tell nothing about TAG, and UCR seems not clear about how they admit TAG students.

@darkarchang3l How many grants do you have ? I meant after Cal Grant A covers all your tuition, I meant you have 2 years (Mine is given 13k Cal Grant B even my Cal Grant A was approved as well)
Based on what you said, 3k-ish from UCR + 5k from Pell Grant = 8k per year will cover your off-campus housing + foods + transportations + utility bills I guess?
For those wondering about the financial aid packages at UCR , I would not trust what UCR offers you for financial aid. Between now and the time you enroll , it will automatically change your package close to 5 times, so you won’t know the exact amount you’ll get until a week or so before you start classes.
Also, regarding on campus apartments , there was community known as Oban that will now become strictly family housing, therefore, I believe that housing might be very limited , so if you are sure that you want to attend UCR, I would advise you to SIR first to get your Net ID so you can begin applying for housing.
*I saw a date somewhere that said something about housing, but I don’t know if it was a deadline for housing applications to be submitted or the beginning to apply for housing, but it said around late May.

@Alwaysfroze i TAG’ed into UCR and they seemed pretty clear to me? they sent an email back in october outlining the requirements and so long as you do them all, you’re in.
i know. appeals are hard there’s a very slim chance they’ll accept your appeal, statistically speaking. but if there’s anything you wanted to talk about on the app that you didn’t get to say for whatever reason, any explanations for certain things you didn’t explain in the app… 
@Alwaysfroze omg i just realized that the 15k for tuition is with UC SHIP so that can be waived and brings the tuition to 13kish and money left over from ucr grant ^O^

I tagged to UCR too and now still being considered. The chance is small but it is ok. I have lacked of 1 class too, being rejected is expected. Haha!
@darkarchang3l I don’t really know why you are not qualified for Pell Grant since you are qualified for Cal Grant while Cal Grant actually requires you to graduate from Cal High school, qualified GPA, and must submitted FAFSA.
When I logged to Webgrants (website for Cal grant), the system automatically choose UC RIVERSIDE is my school of attendance after approved. When I looked up on California Aid Report, I saw Code 1 which states: “Your school has selected the award type they think will be the most beneficial over the life of the grant.”
Wonder which school made it decision for my grant lol.
