***UCR TRANSFER DECISIONS/DISCUSSION 2018***

@Cinsix Have you checked your portal? Does your portal have only two tabs? My husband’s only has the home and profile tab on MyUCR.

@lovepinkk98 No, I have seven tabs (Home, Alerts, Announcements, Test Scores, Documents, Profile, Major Change) on the UCR portal. My home page says:

"Your application is currently being considered for an admission decision.

Continue to log in and check your homepage for information about your admission status. Don’t forget to check your “Alerts” tab and your “Announcements” tab for information or messages from your admissions counselor. You may find something listed there that we still need from you in order to complete your application and post your admission decision.

Sincerely,

Undergraduate Admissions

UC Riverside"

@Cinsix Thank you for checking

@Cinsix If you get accepted into UCR, do you plan to attend?

My portal also has two tabs now so I’m a bit worried :frowning:

@lovepinkk98 Ideally, I would love to get into UCD, but that seems like a reach for my GPA range. If I get into UCR, I would definitely attend if UCSC doesn’t accept me. I’m a Bay Area native and would personally like to stay in the NorCal area!

Yesterday I was checking UCR’s tumblr page where they answer students questions, and they said that freshman decisons roll through march and transfer decisons roll through april.

I am still waiting for UCR and I have a 3.93 GPA. I am a business major. I got accept to CSUF and Long Beach state.

@Cinsix I totally understand! I didn’t apply to Northern California schools because I live in Southern California. I live only 15 minutes by freeway to UCR. Good luck with your admission decisions.

@JonneyYuma I’m still waiting as well! I’m a bio major with a 3.43

My husband is still waiting on his admission decision. As of right now, he only has in his portal the home and profile tabs.

Is anyone else having trouble logging on to the portal?

@SabPardo Yes, at the bottom of my husband’s portal it mentions, “There was an error loading your data! Please refresh the page.”

Best of luck to everyone, hope y’all get in

GUYS SOS! I got accepted march 5 and got my packet in the mail. however, I just checked my cur portal out of curiosity and I noticed it says I need to complete OCHEM PT 2 with a C or better because I put it as ‘planning’ on mt UC app. However, the class was waitlisted and I did not get in. By the time I found out I couldn’t be added to the class, I had already been accepted. Will they revoke my admission?

Notify your school of this, they might be able to prioritize you given your circumstance. If not, definitely report it to the UC’s and explain the situation. You could even take a class outside of school (equivalent another community college course, if your school allows) to show the UC’s that it’s not that you don’t want to take it, but that it’s just not possible to take it in your school right now.

@myfavoritepet semesters are in the middle of session at almost every school. I cannot take the class anywhere at the moment. and they don’t offer the class in a short semester

@biochembbs9 I agree with the suggestion of @myfavoritepet. I would also contact your admissions counselor to see if she/he could give any other suggestions on what to do.

You can figure out who your admission counselor is through this link:

Thank you guys SO MUCH! I just found my transfer counselor and emailed him! I will also call UCR in the morning! Thank you everyone  @lovepinkk98 @myfavoritepet

@biochembbs9 no problem  you can also go to your community college’s admission center and see if your UCR representative has available appointments on campus. Maybe if he is on campus, you can get an answer faster. For instance, at Riverside City College, my college admissions counselor from UCR goes almost every Friday.
