I’m confused because admissions keeps saying that transfers don’t get their admissions until april but some transfers have already gotten their acceptance, hmmm…
@jess028 Some transfer admission decisions already came out. However, most decisions will be posted in April.
At this rate, most of us will hear back from UCSB before UCR. Thanks, UCR…
@thatonegurl I actually went onto the UCR website, under ‘Admissions’, then there’s drop down menu in which I clicked ‘Transfer’, then you scroll down and press ‘Contact Us’, and you can find out who your counselor is, right there. Here’s the link to save you some time:
http://admissions.ucr.edu/admissions/transfer/contact-us.html
I only looked this up because I was trying to see if there was a correlation between who my counselor was, and how long it would take for me to hear back as a result, but I don’t know. I got my acceptance on the 12th, though I’m sure more acceptances are rolling in, so it’s just a matter of patience, I suppose. (sorry for the late reply, by the way)
Also, quick question guys. For any of you that have been accepted already, have you seen anything about financial aid? I know it might be soon, but I still don’t see any award, and I submitted my FAFSA in February.
@mersyno1 I have checked R’web and there is no financial aid information available for me either. I turned in my FAFSA in November.
I got an email and a package mail saying that I am admitted.
@riceball123
@mersol369 I was admitted on the 6th and was able to look at my financial aid package same day
Hello all,
Transfer student here.
I’m not quite sure if this will help anyone because I’m not too sure that it benefited me in any way. Anyhow, I had emailed admissions last week regarding my admission decision.
My email:
"Hi there,
I am a prospective transfer student awaiting my decision. I understand admissions are released on a rolling basis. However, I just wanted to double-check with the admissions office to ensure I have all of the necessary documents submitted on your end. I have provided my identifications below."
UCR’s response this morning:
"Good Morning Sabastian,
We are still making a decision on your application. Do not be discouraged. The decision will be posted on the homepage of your MyUCR account once the decision is made."
Side note: I emailed admissions@ucr.edu with the question above and received the response from admit@ucr.edu. I’m not sure if there’s any correlation whatsoever. If anyone has any experience with this, I’d greatly appreciate it.
Thanks, and best of luck to everyone!
@lovepinkk98 @ezam1990 thank you! hopefully I hear from them soon, then.
@mersyno1 No problem. I will try calling tomorrow to find out why I can’t see my financial aid.
@mersyno1 I tried calling today but no one answered (it seemed like they were busy). I emailed them too (finaid@UCR.edu). I will try again tomorrow.
To be honest this is my best bet:
UCR will release decisions on the last week of March and the first week of April. Only because Highlander day is on April 7th. It would make more sense right??
So…I haven’t been accepted but I received an email about a preliminary financial aid award. Anyone know what that is all about? I thought you only received word on financial aid after being accepted.

THIS WAIT IS KILLING ME.
@katc15 Yes, I believe it is a good sign. I had classmates (c/o 2020) who got their financial aid before their acceptance. Personally, in 2016, I received my financial aid details and I was waitlisted.
Oh man. This is like a form of toture.
@katc15 Don’t worry Some acceptances are released in March. However, many acceptances still occur in April. As long as your application states that you are still being considered for admission, then it is ok.
@katc15 I got the same email at 4:47 PM.
Have you been accepted?
