UCR Transfer Fall 2019 Thread

@BBoy99 Who are you talking to?

Oh, sorry, I thought you addressed your comment to me lol.

The social aspect of being a transfer student kinda sucks… Don’t know a single soul in Riverside lol

@UCtransfer951 I have been seeing your responses throughout this thread and honestly you have been extremely helpful. Yet, I do not see the reason for your latest response about my post. I have a right to feel a certain way in this case “worrying” and I know there are other students who are also worrying as well. As for some advice, keep helping those with the upmost respect and keep in mind everyone has a right to feel a certain way. To add, I nor others in the long run don’t need your response of “doesn’t excuse her worrying…”. I hope you are successful in everything and if you are also looking to transfer into the academic fall 2019 year, I wish I was you with no sense of worry.

Hey guys, did anyone of you receive cal grant from UCR? I only received Pell Grant and UCR Grant. My cal grant is renewed automatically every year. I don’t know why it’s not showing up on R’Web :frowning:

@Lola9393 Have you checked your WebGrants4Students account? The deadline was March 2 and they typically don’t begin reviewing eligibility until after the deadline has passed so it may just still be pending. But if you go to mygrantinfo.csac.ca.gov and sign in/create an account you will be able to see everything

@holatomm Yes, I did. It says “Pending Cal Grant Renewal” on WebGrants4Students but I don’t see my cal grant offer on R’Web. I just want to make sure I am not the only one :s

@holatomm @Lola9393 Not true. You have until June 1st for the CA grant. The march 2 deadline is for high school students.

@Lola9393 Same. Do you also have Cal grant B selected instead of A? …I know that for freshman students with cal grant B, the cal grant does not cover them in the first year so the university picks up the cost of tuition in that first year.

Or it could just be that the Cal grant info isn’t finalized…

Either way, we probably won’t have a cal grant plus a university grant…I think it’s one or the other.

you know the next UC thread that’s gonna be more active than UCR thread is the one that gonna post their admission decisions.

@AeroDE Yeaup. UCSC thread is about to be crazy…followed shortly by UCSB.

@AeroDE @kristinpete I regret not applying to UCSB but I did apply to UCSC… Hope to hear back next week although my gut feeling is I won’t hear back until April

@kristinpete Yes, I’ve always had cal grant B. Wait, really? I thought we could accept all the grants they offered. Can someone confirm this please? That’s an extra 15k :frowning:

@UCtransfer951 does it mean it won’t be shown on R’Web until I SIR?

@Lola9393 Mine shows Federal Pell grant, UCR grant, USHIP Fee grant, Direct Stafford and Direct Unsubsidized Loans…all adding up to the amount that I cannot contribute.
