I want to transfer as a physics major, hopefully in the college of creative studies if I can get in. To be honest, I’m not sure how much of a difference being it would be for a transfer to be in CCS since I think upper division physics converges with the regular letters students.
It’s a nice campus. Pretty laid back. There’s a private beach for the school, which is rather nice. And yes, there is definitely a large party atmosphere.
There are people from all over the place. UCSB attracts tons of people. I don’t know the details, but many people from my high school (in Oakland) went to UCSB and seem to like it.
Hey just to let you know you can put CCS physics for your first/primary major and regular physics as your alternative/secondary major. I did this for CCS math (I did not complete the app for CCS and decided to stay one more year at CCC). I did get admitted to the regular math program though. Sorry for the grammar; English is not my strong point.
oh yeah, i definitely want to get into the CCS physics! what’s CCS like for transfers?
can you still get into the regular physics program through TAG if you put it as your second major choice?
