I have a feeling more decisions may come out today. One of the posts above says that her daughter had until yesterday to respond to her acceptance, that would mean that today they can make more offers. Keeping my fingers crossed for my son. He’s already admitted to San Diego State but he really wants UCSB.
Has anyone heard back? Still on the waitlist.
I have not heard back yet either.
Hello! So happy I found this forum… Any transfers admitted on appeal recently?
Hey all! I checked the portal today because two of my other friends were rejected off the waitlist, and alas, I too was rejected. I don’t think that bodes well for those still on the waitlist, but I would check your status nonetheless. We all received no email about an update, so you could have an update even if you didn’t get an email. Best of luck!
My son got the rejection on the portal too. No email though. Good luck everyone.
Just checked and I was rejected as well, no email sent.
I just got my rejection letter as well. So now this means I got rejected by all the 6 UCs I applied to. I really don’t understand what I did so wrong. I had a good GPA, a lot of good extracurriculars, a lot of volunteer hours, an average SAT score, and my college advisor approved of my essays. I don’t even know what to do anymore, I never wanted to go to community college. But also on my rejection letter, it said that qualified California residents who are not admitted by any UC campus to which they applied may be offered freshman admission by another UC campus. Does that there’s like a special change to still get in???
@leejena: If you are ELC eligible (top 9% of your HS) then your UC application would have been forwarded to UC Merced. Applicants that were referred to UC Merced would have been notified by middle of May. I assume since you did not hear from UCM that you were not ELC eligible?
Community college to UC via TAG is a great option. TAG will guarantee admission at UCM, UCR, UCSC, UCD, UCI (not CS) and UCSB (not Engineering/CS) if you complete the course requirements and maintain a specific GPA.
Here is more information: http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/transfer/guarantee/index.html
I was notified by UC Merced and I was confused why I was getting it since I didn’t even apply. Now this explains it thank you. I unfortunately did not accept it though. Was UC Merced the only UC offering admissions through ELC?
@leejena: UCM is the default campus for ELC. You could call UCM admissions and see if there is still room only if you would consider attending.
