Exactly. Also just read that whole document. Pretty much explains it all

And no Gpa is one of multiple factors. Just not the ps
From what I know they don’t, someone correct me if I’m wrong though.
Nah you’re good. They don’t:)
This waiting is killing me :(( I keep obsessively refreshing my admissions page!
Btw thanks everyone for all the helpful information! I really hope we all don’t have to wait much longer!
i know, wish they sent out all acceptances in one day.
This year there are supposed to be accepting 10000 extra students so i am hoping that gets the people with low gpas in
@SwaggypUCLA
No. They are accepting 5000 this year and of those 5000 it is 1/3 who will be transfers. Plus they extended the UC Application deadline to get more people to apply so that might counteract people getting in with lower GPA’s.
Those extra 10,000 students are suppose to be over the course of three years.
yea hopefully, whats your stats if you don’t mind me asking?
Yes and no. 10000 more students amongst all campuses. And those 1/3 are split amongst the 9 campuses will be transfer.
@SwaggypUCLA all UCs read personal statements, but they will not reject you based on the personal statement alone. UCSB might use it to determine your eligibility for scholarship, or to explain gaps in your education (if you have any). It’s stated on page 36 of that “document” that @uchopeful414 keeps referring to (which contradicts to @uchopeful414’s belief that UCSB does not read personal statements).

I mean my app is not all that great. I dont think i will get in lol
@BlackPlasma damn lol so like 1500 hundred transfers? f*CK
@SwaggypUCLA
Yea, just spread that number over some of the campuses and then factor in the students who weren’t going to apply but then did because they extended the deadline.
@SwaggypUCLA spread between 3 campuses. So maybe like 200 at best.
I yea, forgot that it will only be some campuses. I believe one was UC Davis, I don’t remember seeing if UCSB was part of that.
Lenocturne a lot of people have contradicted what you say. Just because a UC has a website that has the EXACT same prompt as the other UCs doesn’t mean they read it. It’s just an informational guide.
Damn i wish i had a higher Gpa… SMH
Davis will be taking in 650+ students from that 1500. Santa Cruz is taking 100. So as you can see, it’s almost all gone lol
