@ctehin sociology!
@OhWhatsHerName GOD BLESS U
Just called admissions office. I was told “Well, some of the waitlist has been admitted. They’re still looking through applications and checking to see if there is room. They will post decisions as fast as they can.”
@College4Fun that doesn’t sound too good
It’s looking like we’re not gonna find out today :-<
Yup I’m still pending
I was told by one of the couselors there that they are still going thru the list and could take a FEW weeks… who else is going to ucsc if not accepted at UCSB
If it takes weeks just to find out I’m rejected that’ll suck lol
Anyone is econ major??
I am a econ major ! still pending
I will go insane if it takes all month…
I know that my appeal was being evaluated last week by one of the admissions counselors because she emailed me for some transcript stuff. I’m tempted to email her to get her opinion on how much longer it might take but at the same time I don’t want to bug her as I’m sure they are very busy and prefer for us to call the office directly.
As I wait longer I get more anxious. Because they do tend to send rejections later. I’m so afraid that I have waited all this time just to get a rejection.
Still pending. The invitation for consideration from UCR I received in late May is still pending as well. Feels like I jumped off a cliff for a helicopter and hoping the UCs grab my hand.
Someone got accepted that sent in their appeal on the same day as I did so it seems random when you will get the decision but also makes me worried I’ll get rejected
I called ucsb today and one of the workers said the waitlist process wasn’t by majors. For ex if your major is impacted you have a lower chance of getting admitted. She told me it’s generalized and they accept you from the amount of room they have. Kind of a good thing and a bad thing. If you’re from an impacted major then you have an equal shot as everyone else but then again there’s more people competing for the spot rather than just people in your major
Hi hi! I’m new here and I like the fact that I’m not alone in this nerve wracking situation. I too am currently waitlisted for UCSB as well. My major is Communicaitons which is very impacted in this school. This is a very stressful month for us, let alone finals week. But we got this guys. With whatever happens, we will definitely get through this.
Impacted majors at #UCSB? The only impacted majors on our campus are in the College of Engineering. This was UCSB official Facebook said.
Do you guys think the decisions will be out before June 30? I know the students who get an acceptance letter have a week to reply. What if they say no? Would the send another acceptance out?
@OhWhatsHerName Was there a deadline to respond on the letter you received?
