UCSB fall transfer

Hi, I am a student at Miami University (Ohio not Florida) and I was just wondering what my chances would be of getting into UCSB for fall transfer admission. I’m not from California so I don’t have much information about this stuff so I was hoping someone could help me.

I’ll probably end up with a 3.4 or 3.5 this semester, is that UCSB grade? I know they give priority to CCC students and I’m not sure if my credits will transfer. I haven’t really looked into it, but I just wanted to see if there was even a shot or if this is just wishful thinking. Thanks.

In addition, if not UCSB, what other schools in California (or else where) are viable options for me with that GPA?

Depends on your major. If its STEM, probably not. Although ~3.5 would be competitive for UCSB in a STEM major, like you said, ccc students will be given priority. If you really want to go there, I’d say try to go to a CCC for a year and then try to transfer

you mean next fall? Or fall 2017?

and what year are you now?

Yeah it’s s long shot I would try UCSC or UCR
