UCSB Mentorship v Cornell Summer Session

Debating which program to go this summer, not so concerned with "prestige" of ivy versus UC, but program benefits.
The Mentorship is a research based program, with a professor in lab. We work under different disiplines for a 6 weeks and present findings at the end.
The Summer Session is for the Biological and Health section, and its more of taking classes and attending lectures with less of the individualized research stuff/

Any input on either of these programs?

The prestige of an institution typically does not extend to the reputation of its pre-college summer programs.

Research beats out taking classes by a large margin. Unless cost or commute is an issue, I’d take the UCSB offer and not look back.
