I actually meant the ranking of the school not of Communication major.

so why often UCD sounds more prestigious ? Is that because of the party scene at UCSB ?
For Communications major, I also don’t know the ranking for UC but I know (and probably everyone actually) UCLA is the best ! </p>

After some research, I also feel like UCSB is better for Communication. In addition, it looks more competitive since we apply to Pre Communication at UCSB while at UCD, we are accepted to the major.
That also leads to my question if I should choose my future college based on the specific major or the college reputation/experience as a whole ? </p>
