ucsb or uci?

I can't decide whether i want to go to UCSB or UCI.
My major is Business Econ.
I know that UCI recently opened the Paul Merage School of Business so im leaning more towards UCI. Location wise i love them both.

suggestions? opinions?

iF your down with Asian invasion - Uci
If your down with White nation - Ucsb

location wise, i’d go with Irvine. i found sb to be too small town and to get to LA is about a 2 hr drive…

UCSB if you want to go into accounting. Other than that choose where you feel most comfortable.

UCI Business Economics because of location to a lot of tech companies. Although UCI is currently bringing up their Paul Merage School of Business, recruiting should be a bit fine but jobs will usually tend to go to Business school students for business oriented companies. So be aware that you will be battling it out with Paul Merage Business School students for recruiting.

I have a few friends that go to UCSB and they say it’s hard for recruiting because of the stigma they have being seen as a “party” type. The atmosphere is great at UCSB but it really is a party school that some cannot take that seriously and can be really distracting.

I have plenty of friends who got into the big 4 accounting firms who also heavily recruit on campus. I’ve heard the opposite from my friends, saying that the companies liked to get people with personality in addition to working harder.

Again, sounds like someone who doesn’t really know the school well.

UCI doesn’t really have a student exclusive town like Santa Barbara does. While the area around UCI is more metropolitan, those types of places are often worse for college students, especially Irvine which is a family oriented town.
