<p>Yea financial aid won't be a detrimental factor because all the public universities I was accepted to also didn't offer aid. The problem I am having right now is convincing my parents that UCSB is the viable institution I believe it to be. I know it is very strong in the sciences, which is what I plan to major in.</p>
<p>Tell them it's very unlikely for you to do well at SD because it's too competitive and students don't share their notes and your most likely going to get a low gpa which means no med school...heheh Something to that regard would work. Took me a while to convince my parents too but all I really needed to say was "I want to be an accountant and there's nothing that UCSD can do to make that happen ". After that, my mom started talking to my granny and aunts telling them I might be going to UCSB to pursue accounting heheh</p>

<p>Any advice for International Relations majors who are trying to choose? I love Santa Barbara and practically grew up there, but i know the college is in Goleta. Plus i kinda like the idea of being part of little college within a big one at San Diego.</p>
