UCSB Pre-Econ and Accounting Major

So, I got accepted into UCSB which was my top choice and I’m really excited about it. However, my problem is my main interest is in accounting and I know that to get into the full major you have to take I believe 2 econ classes. Econ isn’t my biggest strong suit and I know the classes are extremely difficult, but I know the recruitment and accounting program at UCSB is great. Has anybody or is anybody an econ & acc. major at UCSB and can tell me their experience? My other issues are obviously living far from home, I’m from the Bay Area so it’s about a 4-5 hour drive. I applied to some state schools down here for my backup but I guess I just want a second opinion about the econ&accounting program at UCSB! thanks
