UCSB Teacher Programs?

<p>Hello everyone,</p>

<p>I was accepted into UCSB as a pre-bio major, and I've already sent in my SIR. I'm planning to become a biology teacher eventually, and I was wondering if UCSB offers any credential programs etc. that I can take while still working toward my Bio major. I was hoping that I could have both my major and credential in 5 years or under. I'm also interested in receiving the federal TEACH grant, and indicated so on my FAFSA, but I'm not sure what to do next. Does anyone have any information on any of this?</p>

<p>i too am also planing on being a math teacher. UCSB does have a graduate school of education but i think you need to apply to get into that when you graduate and it is possible to get your major and your credential in 5 years or less.</p>
