UCSB Transfer Pre-req Question for College L&S

I applied as an EEMB (Ecol & Evolutionary Biology) major for UCSB and will complete all but two of the pre-reqs by the end of spring (missing one semester of Chemistry and one Physics). I understand that bio-transfer students are admitted as pre-biology major first and have to take preparatory courses before being able to apply for a full major status. My question is whether would I be able to take and finish these courses (especially the chemistry) as a "pre-major" student or would this affect my chance of transfer?

If you mean one semester of OChem, sure that is fine and it shouldn’t impact your admission. If you mean one semester of Gen Chem, no you will not be admitted to a Bio majors. Bio majors need Bio series and Gen Chem series with a 2.7GPA to be admitted.
