UCSB/UCSD Mechanical Engineering 2017 Transfer Applicant

Currently enrolled in Foothill College, looking in transferring to UCSB/UCSD, but UCD/UCI will do too.
Feel like I am at a bad spot for UCSB/UCSD, any advice? No EC except for engineering club. Will my writing class grades be a problem for admission consideration? Please help :’(

English 1A: C+

Calculus 1A: B
1B: A+
1C: B

Physics 4A: A+

Chemistry 1A: A
1B: A

Intro to Engineering: A+
Engineering Graphics (AutoCAD) : A-
Matlab: A-
CS 2A : A

Overall GPA: 3.58
Major GPA: 3.74

Feeling helpless, any advice would be appreciated!

You didn’t list your major, but I assume it’s engineering… If that’s the case then this doesn’t apply. I still think you have a good chance for UCSB, but I’m no expert >:D<
