UCSB/SD/D Engineering Transfer

Currently a CC student in Mechanical Engineering. I still have a semester and a half to two semesters until I can transfer. Just doing the math, my maximum GPA would be somewhere in the 3.6 range +- .02.

EC:
Freshman year was part of a student designed and built jet-powered vehicle
Currently full time employed in the engineering industry as a weird intern turned employee. I can pull design/analysis/manufacturing examples from my job that directly relate to my field. Also, whether this is useful or not, I have a few professional projects that are on the industry side of STEM. Basically worked with university groups to design and build a vehicle to take their items (cubesats and the like) into near space.

UCD I can tag into (they advertise a 3.2? for their engineering programs)
UCSB and UCSD don't do tag for engineering. I'm worried that a 3.6 would be too low to get me into the impacted MechE programs at either.

Forgot to include: IGETC will be completed
