I am having a really hard time deciding between the three. At Berkeley and LA I selected Cognitive Science as my major and at UCSB I selected Biopsychology. I am from about an hour north of SB, 15 minutes away from Cal Poly SLO, so SB for me is just a comforting place to be and I love the ocean and the relaxed atmosphere. Also my brother goes there and so do a lot of friends from previous years and since it is close to home it is a big comfort for me. However that being said, I really feel like I can't turn down the opportunity to go to Berkeley or LA, and I am not sure if I want to just take the safe route (as in a place I am comfortable not necessarily academics). And although LA is So Cal and closer to the ocean than Cal, I feel like there isn't much going on socially there as in a party scene, like it isn't as accessible as it is at SB or Cal, and I wouldn't label myself a partier, but I can't deny it is important to me, the town I come from rarely has anything to do at night and I want to make sure I don't stick myself in that position again at college. I know that in LA there are tons of things to do, but I want to spend my time more oriented around the campus and the student life. I also don't know much of anything about the programs I chose at these schools as in how good they are etc. I also plan on going onto graduate school. Please help, I have to make a decision in 8 days and I have no idea what to do!!

… the parties at SB and Cal are more self-contained, rather than at UCLA.

Yeah, that might be true because the true “partiers” at UCLA probably are more into clubs, etc, which would be, say, east of campus.

Go where you feel: sounds like SB. Only thing, try a paragaph break or two… best of luck. ;)

Haha sorry about the lack of breaks.

And what do you mean by self contained?
