I’m planning on studying Econ. I got scholarships to both, so they are the same price. I’m really torn between both schools. I am “top applicant” for UCSB. I got into the management school at BC.
Any insight helps
are you instate for UC? $35k vs. $60k per annum can be meaningful for a lot of families.
Did you earn a Regent’s/Chancellor’s at SB? BC only offers a dozen merit scholarships per year, and if you scored one of those, BC is a no-brainer. OTOH, if you are on need-based aid, the finances are a much bigger decision factor.
I’m instate for UCs. I’m not sure what a Regents/Chancellors is. I got a letter early march saying that the Chancellor was pleased to invite us to a UC SB reception honoring top applicants. I also got an invitation to EOP, UCSb grant, and UCSb freshman scholarship, which adds up to $10000.
Boston College offered me a spot to the College transition program, and $44,000 need based scholarships. I can probably also graduate in 3 years.
